The Goal
Hi! My name is
Michelle Lasley and I have a goal of educating people on the importance of a
sustainable society. Now that I'm graduated from Portland State
University, implementing that goal has become the next step.
I believe people want to take care of those people and
things they care about, and at heart we all have the same or similar
basic interests. That interest is taking care of our families,
friends, and homes. But, we're all busy working two jobs, taking
care of families, and trying to keep in contact with those who live far
away. These hectic lifestyles sometimes make it hard to 'do the
right thing.'
This portion of the Green Guide is designed to help
make it clearer candidates positions on issues and where they stand
regarding the environment. There are a few pages dedicated to
explaining some key points that could help our society move in a
direction that supports individual liberties and societal
responsibility. And, the main pages will be dedicated to the
candidates and where they stand.

In addition to all things green, I transferred to PSU
from Michigan State University where I pursued Political Theory &
Constitutional Democracy. Although I did not finish at MSU, my
schooling there helped shape my thoughts and how I approach politics.
I believe we should all vote our conscience and that path would raise
support for "3rd Party Candidates". By raising the role 3rd Party
Candidates have, I believe we could make the diverse voices of this
great country heard on a broader, louder scale.
